Speaking to Republican senators in the White House Rose Garden, Trump revealed he was “extremely angry” after learning he was rated after George Washington and Abraham Lincoln on his self-styled “Presidential Walk of Fame”.

据报道，特朗普现场还原了当时情景：“有人告诉我，‘这可是电视上说的！您是第三好的总统。’”当旁人追问前两名是谁并得到“华盛顿和林肯”的答复后，特朗普直言对此说法感到愤怒。

报道称，尽管承认超越这两名美国前总统“确实很难”，但特朗普话锋一转：“咱们总得试试看，对吧？”

“They say you’re the third best president… Third best. And they said, who are the first two? George Washington and Abraham Lincoln. And I got extremely angry at this man.”
